Become a Member
There are two membership types:- General Member and Accredited Member.
Accredited membership
Accredited psychotherapists are trained and experienced practitioners working within a psychoanalytical framework. They may also have some additional expertise in other approaches or specialisms, and have typically practiced in public and private settings with a range of clients.
Accredited members are bound by the Code of Ethics of the Institute and of the UKCP and support practice that is sensitive to culture, diversity and difference.
For Accredited Membership there is an £250.00 application fee to cover administration and interview costs, which must be sent with the application documents. If membership is confirmed, the yearly subscription fee for accredited membership of the Hallam Institute is currently £180.00. If found to meet the Accreditation Criteria, accredited members are then eligible for UKCP Registration as a ‘Psychoanalytic and/or Psychodynamic Psychotherapist’ which then can apply for via the UKCP website. For those interested in Accredited Membership, our Accreditation Procedure, Policy and Criteria can be found on our policy page which details the application process.
