Adam Phillips
Adam is a psychoanalyst and an Honorary Visiting Professor in the Department of English and Related Literature at York University. He was formerly a Principal Child Psychotherapist at Charing Cross Hospital, London.
He is the General Editor of the Penguin Freud, and author of a host of books, essays and studies from On Kissing, Tickling and Being Bored (1993) to Becoming Freud: The Making of a Psychoanalyst (2014); more recently Unforbidden Pleasures (Penguin, 2015). His new book, “On Wanting to Change” will be published on the 18th March.
Content of the Webinar
The webinar will begin at 10.30 with Adam’s talk and it will be followed by what we believe will be a profoundly stimulating Q&A session with him. Adam is a lively, interesting, and for many, a controversial speaker
This meeting, aimed primarily, though not exclusively, at psychotherapists, presents an opportunity to listen, to be stimulated and/or provoked, and to respond. A recent participant in one of Adam’s seminars had this to say: “Adam is absolutely wonderful at the questions and answers part and the time for the audience to talk with him will pass in a flash.”
