Lynne Ramsey’s film adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s book, full of suspense and psychological angst, sadly recently echoed in events at the Sandy Hook School, Connecticut where 20 children and 6 adults were mown down by a former pupil after he had shot his mother. Debbie will be offering a detailed analysis from a psychoanalytic perspective which we can anticipate to be both challenging and stimulating.
